Kia ora,
My name is Natasha and I’m incredibly grateful to have been elected as a parent representative on the Amesbury School Board. It’s an honour to have the opportunity to advocate for the needs and aspirations of parents, and I look forward to working alongside a strong, skilled team to make decisions that benefit the entire school community.
I’m the proud mum of Oscar, who is currently a student at Amesbury, and I have a daughter who will be joining the school in March 2026.
Professionally, I’m a registered nurse with over 15 years of experience in healthcare leadership. I currently work as a Quality and Patient Safety Manager, supporting our Centre of Clinical Excellence. My role focuses on keeping patients and whānau at the centre of everything we do, learning from our mistakes, and maintaining safety as a top priority. It often involves balancing financial pressures with clinical priorities, and has deepened my belief in the importance of strong, transparent governance.
I believe good governance is foundational to the wellbeing of school leaders, teachers, students, and whānau. Although Oscar is just beginning his school journey, he has already experienced the rich and inclusive learning environment that Amesbury School offers—thanks to the dedication of its staff, leadership, Board, and wider community.
I’m committed to helping Amesbury School be the best it can be, so that all tamariki can thrive in their learning and grow into happy, caring, and confident young people.
Ngā mihi nui,
Natasha
