I’m Damien, and I’m really excited to be joining the Amesbury School Board of Trustees. My daughter Mickey is in Year 3, and we feel lucky to be part of such a warm, inclusive school whānau.
Originally from Sri Lanka, I’ve called New Zealand home for 14 years now, with the last decade spent right here in Wellington. I bring over 20 years of experience across the ICT, FMCG, retail, and finance sectors, having worked in a range of roles including sales, marketing, channel management, and commercial leadership.
I’m passionate about helping our tamariki shine and reach their full potential — and about supporting the people who help make that happen. Joining the Board is a chance for me to give back to the school community, contribute my skills, and work alongside others to keep Amesbury growing strong. I’m looking forward to getting involved and connecting with students, staff, and whānau.
