Supporting The Winter Project - Closes Friday

Not everyone in Wellington is fortunate to have all they need to keep themselves warm during the winter. With this mind, eleven years ago, a group of students from Samuel Marsden Collegiate School started The Winter Project. The Winter Project collects winter clothing and blankets that are then distributed to schools with families in need in the Wellington region.

On their behalf we have a collection point in the office for donations of warm jumpers, pants, jackets, polypros, blankets, beanies, scarves, gloves from now until 15th May. All donations will then be collected and distributed around King's Birthday weekend.

A big thanks to those who have contributed already.

Fundraising for the Cancer Society - Afterschool on Friday

Two of our ākonga (students) Rufus & Mei Mei are undertaking activities to provide fundraising for the Cancer Society Relay for Life - and you can help!

Learning Celebration in Week 5

As we near completion of our first learning module for the year - based on Newton's three laws of motion, friction, and gravity - it's timely to let you know that we have planned a Learning Celebration where the ākonga can demonstrate what they have learnt and created. This will occur at 2pm on Friday 29 May. However, if you can't make it at that time, you are welcome to come along between 8.30-9am that morning to view the displays and have your own child explain them to you. Either way, we hope that you can make it along.

For more details about what ākonga have been learning and what is happening on the day and what the other modules there are this year please read this information item.
