Consultation Session - Thursday

A reminder that we will be holding a Consultation Session from 5-6pm this Thursday (11 September).

The purpose of the session is to discuss with the School Board and Leadership Team your thoughts on a new strategic plan which is due this year, mapping out goals and focus areas over the next three years. There will be pizza available and teacher supervision for your tamariki.

If you haven't already done so and you are planning to come along, please fill in this very quick form, to give an idea of numbers (helps for the pizza order!).

School Board Parent Elections

Information for voting for the five parent representatives on our school board has been sent out to all eligible electors by My School Election. If you have not yet received anything from My Schools Elections, please contact Gail.

Voting closes on 17 September and you are encouraged to cast your votes prior to the closing date. My School Election has provided all of the information needed to cast your vote.

Speech Competition Finals - Thursday & Friday

The heats are all done and the finalists have been found for this year's Amesbury Speech Competition. Read here for a list of the finalists and the relevant finals info.

The finals will be held as follows:

  • Koru - 2.20pm on Thursday 11 September

  • Pōhutukawa - 2.20pm on Friday 12 September

Come along to support and enjoy.

Onesie Day -Friday

Onesie/Oodie Day will be held at school on Friday (12 September).

Why are we having it? This is an opportunity to assist the Wellington Free Ambulance who look after us, our loved ones, our friends, and everyone else in our Wellington community every day of the year.

How can we help? By donating on our Wellington Free Ambulance school fundraising page here. We have set a relatively modest target of $500 from our school community.

So come along to school on Friday 12 September in your onesie or oodie and make a small donation to the Wellington Free Ambulance.

Sausage Sizzle Success

A huge thank you to Ground Up Homes who supplied everything for last week's sausage sizzle fundraiser to cover the cost of the tutors from Inano Dance who are presenting our Pasifika Dance programme to our tamariki every Monday.

When I say Ground Up Homes supplied everything - I mean everything! Not only did they provide all of the sausages, bread etc. they also provided the BBQ and all of the personnel to run the sausage sizzle. Our sincerest thanks to Ace, Christine and the rest of the Ground Up team.

For more info - including the amount raised - and photos, please see here.
