Hannah's Survival Poem

By: Angela Johnston | Posted Tuesday June 30, 2015

Life was so normal

I had fun every day

Things have changed so much

Now I can’t go out to play.

Here in this annexe

I can’t dare sneeze

Risk being found

I’d rather eat leaves.

Not as much to eat

Not as much to drink

I long to be alone

And I deserve a treat!

All I can do is try to be positive

As everyone gets bothered easily

That means me too, and I just want to scream

I wish this whole thing was a dream.
