Starting on Thursday 31st July, Gar Kee will be launching a Kaitiaki Club with our Year 6 students who wish to be involved. The club will take part in New World’s recycling programme, which accepts soft plastics and bottle top lids.
We’ll have clearly labelled bins for these items in Koru, Mawhero, & Pōhutukawa Hubs, as well as in the staff room. Each Thursday, a group of Year 6 students will collect and take the items to New World for recycling.
Please help us by encouraging your child to recycle their clean soft plastics or lids at school and place them in the correct bin. Thanks for supporting our tamariki to care for the environment!
