Amesbury Cross Country
Some great planning ensured that the annual was held early in the week before the current band of bad weather hit. As a result, tamariki enjoyed a lovely warm day which encouraged some to participate who were otherwise reluctant.
As always there were some outstanding performances and the top five in each event will represent Amesbury at either Northern Zone (Yrs 4-6) or the Junior Invitational to be held at Amesbury (Yrs 1-3).
Congratulations to all of the participants and all the best to those participating at the next level.
A report on the event, together with heaps of photos, can be found here.
Volunteer Pizza Packers Needed
If you have 20 minutes to spare, we would be very grateful to have some help packing pizza into bags on a Thursday @ 12.30pm. Please let Rachel know if you can help, even if it's just now and again - thank you.
Clothing backup - for ALL STUDENTS please
With winter here, so is the rain, puddles and mud. Please pack a spare set of shorts/track pants/leggings, and underpants in the school bag (for all ages and sizes) with a plastic bag to put the wet clothes in, and let your child know that they are there for them to get changed into.
For some children it can be embarrassing or upsetting when they unexpectedly become wet or dirty (particularly if there isn't anything for them to change into) or they don't like what is available. We do not hold many spare clothes so are not able to cater for all 'requests' and sizes (particularly over size 8).
We hope you have had a fantastic first week back.
This coming week's theme is Magnificent Mums. We will be baking some delicious cupcakes. We will be creating some fun cards, we will be doing some hand print art work, playing a fun game of bingo with a mothers day twist. We will participating in a breakfast in bed relay. We are so excited to see you there!
