Amesbury Kapa Haka Performance Group - Please Sign Up ASAP

Every year Amesbury sends a performance group along to the St. Brigid’s Kapa Haka Festival. This year it will be held on Saturday 19 September at Newlands College.

With it being a non-competitive festival we invite all interested tamariki to participate from any year level. Participants are asked to complete this form and in Term 3 our Kapa Haka Tutor, Hemi Prime, will work with them during school time to prepare.

More details about the festival can be found here. Please read and sign up.

Co-curricular Lessons in Term 3

Our co-curricular lessons are proving more and more popular, especially with the addition of both Cricket & Chess this year. But there is so much more.

Sign up for any co-curricular classes from the range offered. We may even be able to provide individual lessons in additional instruments - please ask John. With classes commencing in Week 1, now is a perfect time to do so.

Read all about our co-curricular classes here, and contact John to sign up and with any questions that you may have.

Chess Tournament Success

We were excited to host the NZCF Wellington Region Tournament this week, but were even more excited when one of our teams won the tournament, thereby qualifying for Nationals later this year.

Details of the tournament can be found here.

Share & Celebrate

We had our latest Share & Celebrate on Friday, to recognise the latest group of students who have stood out doing a variety of deeds which uphold the values of Amesbury.

Read all about these tamariki here.

School Uniform Price Increase

Unfortunately, due to supplier price increases, some uniform items will increase in price from 17 July.
