Northern Zone Cross Country Results

Well done to all of the tamariki who represented Amesbury at the Northern Zone Cross Country earlier in the week. And congratulations to those who qualified for the next round - the Interzone Cross Country - which includes all of the qualifiers from throughout Wellington, Porirua & the Hutt Valley.

Amesbury’s Got Talent 2025 - entries close Monday

Registrations are now open for our annual talent contest.

Get preparing your item now to meet the following timetable:

  • Sign ups - close Monday 19 May

  • Heats - Weeks 6 & 7 (4-13 June)

  • Finals - 2pm on Friday 27 June

Sausage sizzle - Tuesday 20th May

We will hold a sausage sizzle at morning tea on Tuesday 20th May in conjunction with our annual Junior Invitational Cross Country at Amesbury.

This is available to all ākonga (students) from Yrs 0-6, and whether they are competing or not.

Two things to note:

  1. Orders close at 2pm Monday 19 May at the school shop (Kindo)

  2. Parent support is needed to prepare and to run the BBQ from 9am until approximately noon. If you are able to help for some or all of the time, please email lily@amesbury.school.nz.

2025 School Fun Run

Monday 26th May is the day of this year's fun run.

It's more than simply running - check out the list of activities involved. The focus is on fun and giving things a go.

While the tamariki are enjoying themselves - whānau are also invited to come along to spectate and encourage.

Share & Celebrate

We had our first Share & Celebrate of Term 2 and we had another great group of tamariki recognised for their deeds.

Kelly Club

This coming week's theme is Superheroes. We will be:

  • making some delicious no-bake cookies

  • completing a superhero obstacle course

  • making some very cool superhero masks

  • doing a competition to see who can match the superheroes together the fastest! 

We are so excited to see you there.

Tricky Chats - 22 May

Jo Robertson, New Zealand’s leading researcher on online harm, who is also a relatable and entertaining TEDx speaker will lead an evening providing parents (of kids 4-13+) with practical strategies to keep their children safe, all evidence based and easy to implement. 

The evening will be facilitated by Clyde Quay School.
