Staffing & Hub Structure for 2026
Please take the opportunity to read Urs's "From our Tumuaki / Principal".
In particular, this week's piece covers staffing for next year and the resulting Hub structure.
Why our team is taking strike action
You may be wondering why school was closed on Thursday and whether teachers are really only interested in increasing their salaries and making political points. Despite what you have heard espoused by the Government, this is not actually the case.
Urs has provided information from the teachers' perspective. Please take the time to read it and, if you support their actions, please sign the petition at the end of the article.
EOTC in Week 8

Years 3-4
Years 5-6
For all the information you need to know please read this general EOTC article. That article will then refer you to the specific details for each of the groups.
Firebirds & Blaze Cricket Players Visit
It was a special afternoon on Wednesday as we had a visit from some international cricketers when one of our Year 5 students, Taksheel, invited members of the Wellington men's (Firebirds) and women's (Blaze) teams to Amesbury School for a cricketing session with a number of interested students.
A quick click here will provide you both photos and a video of the session.
A big thank you to Taksheel and to the members of Wellington Cricket for your time and enthusiasm.
