The Winter Project was started 11 years ago by a group of students at Samuel Marsden Collegiate School who wanted to make a difference in the community. In 2026 a group of year 12 students are now part of the sixth generation running it.
The Winter Project collects winter clothing and blankets that are then distributed to schools with families in need in the Wellington region. These people might need some extra warmth for the cold nights ahead entering into winter.
They plan to deliver the clothes around King's Birthday, so we have a collection bin at the school office for donations until 15th May.
