Mana Junior Chess Championship - 9 May
This is a new chess event that is open to anybody at any chess level! The format is a 6-round Swiss tournament with 15 minutes + 5-second time control.
The event will be ideal preparation for the Wellington Interschool Championships in June!
It is held on Saturday, 9th of May at Mana College. The entry fee is $30. You can register here.

NZCF Wellington Region Interschool Championship - 22 June
The Championship will be held on Monday, 22nd of June at Newlands Primary from 9 am - 3 pm. This will be considered a justified absence from school.
There will be 6 rounds of 15 minutes + 5 seconds add on. Here is the website for more information.
We will be looking for a parent volunteer to help organise the Amesbury teams. If you are interested, please email Hannah, hannah@amesbury.school.nz
We will also need volunteers to take students to and from the event and supervise at the event - see the registration form below.
Fees will be confirmed once teams have been finalised. Please note that team fees are payable even if you decide to withdraw at a later stage. The invoice for fees will be added to your child’s Kindo account.
