A great part of the week is pausing to recognize the mahi, leadership, sporting achievements and kindness displayed by our students. Share & Celebrate is our dedicated time to shine a light on the hard work happening across the kura.
We know our students are achieving amazing things beyond the school gates, too! If your child has a recent success outside of school that deserves a shout-out, please email the details directly to their whānau teacher so we can include it in our celebrations.
A special thank you to Lauren and Charlottes’s buddy whānau group for doing a fantastic job hosting this week’s Share & Celebrate!
Well done to all the ākonga recognized this week!
William: Your kaiako have noticed how amazing you are at making sure all felts have their lids on when the group has finished using them. You are often found using your own time to make sure this job is done. Ngā mihi ki a koe.
All mihi whakatau leaders: You all did a fantastic job leading us on Tuesday. You showed great mana and did us so proud. Special shout out to Nixon for pushing through despite not feeling the best!
Ollie: Ollie and Callan (who now lives in Christchurch) wrote and published a book called The Adventures of Activity and Pig. The chapter book is AMAZING, and they have sold over fifty copies of it. E poho kererū ana mātou i a kōrua - we are so proud of you both for your amazing achievement.
Benny and Evelyn: Thank you for helping put all the sand back in the sandpit after students had tipped a decent amount out. Ka pai for being great Kaitiaki.
Emmett: We have noticed that you have been sharing your ideas and thoughts to students and teachers lots more this term! We love to see your confidence. Ka pai Emmett!
Atlas: Well done to Atlas and his football team “Canada” for winning the Tawa Football Club U7/U8 championship! Atlas showed fantastic determination and defensive skill despite the weather. We’re so proud of you!
Cross country place getters: Wow, what a day we had on Tuesday. It was wonderful to see such a lot of ākonga really give it their all in the races.
