Last Friday's fundraising was a roaring success, with a bake sale, sausage sizzle, and lemonade stand raising a whopping $1,232 for the Cancer Society. The online donation portal that the team set up raised a further $790, bringing their amazing total of fundraising to $2,022!

The fundraising effort was set up by Rufus and Mei Mei, and their mum, Marisa. A team was then assembled to help with the different aspects of the event. Huge thanks and congratulations to the team:

  • Sausage Sizzle - huge thanks to Ground Up Homes: Christine, Ace, Liesel, and Regan. Your continued support for Amesbury School and our community is really appreciated

  • Bake Team - big thanks to our fabulous bakers, Neha, Darlene, Susanna & Johnny, Jenny, Jennifer, Gerri, Tara, Sarah, Melissa, and Jenni Drew (Cancer Society)

  • Tamariki - big hurrah for our ākonga support team: Rufus, Mei Mei, Brandon, Amelia, Xavier, Kiaan, and Nivaan

  • Amesbury team - huge thanks to Rachel, Hannah, and Brydon who helped with keeping everything running smoothly

  • Overall organisers: well done to Marisa, Rufus and Mei Mei who organised it all.

And of course, a big thanks to our school community for supporting this very worthy cause and coming along to buy delicious snacks and treats.
