We love recognizing our ākonga/students for their hard work, leadership, and the thoughtful ways they contribute to our kura. Share & Celebrate is one of the ways we celebrate the great mahi/work that they do!
If your child has had a success out of school that you'd like us to mention in our Share & Celebrate, please email the details directly to their whānau teacher.
Congratulations to all of the ākonga mentioned below and a huge thank you to Wee Ai and Rupert's buddy whānau group for hosting this Share and Celebrate!
Ardie, Riley, Zion, Camila, Emmy, August, and Amelia: Thank you for staying back in your break times to help put away and charge chromebooks that have been accidentally left out. It is a huge help and also makes sure all students can use their chromebook for their learning.
Divij, Sid, Leonardo, Lohan, and Ruaan: Thank you for always taking your time at the end of the lunch to make sure our blue matting is clean by putting away all our play equipment such as the blocks
Saarah: For keeping cool, calm and collected when a bug landed onto your peer’s head. You calmed the group around you telling them everything is okay, and then you assured your peer that they will be fine and the bug will be sorted… and it was! Thanks for being so collected Saarah!
Alana, Surya, Queenieva, Navya: For showing incredible resilience during Pedal Ready. Each of you fell off your bike and some of you had scrapes and bruises to prove it! And yet, you persevered and got right back on the bike, and continued to get stronger and stronger in your biking skill. Ka rawe for keeping at an activity that was hard, but you did it anyway!
Waniya, Ryan Jin and Ashwath, Ryker, Alana & Andy: For demonstrating the Amesbury value - Continuous learning/ako by striving for excellence, taking pride in their work and putting in the extra effort into their persuasive writing.
Malin, Yamuna and Ana: For demonstrating both the Amesbury values, Contribution/ koha and Confidence/ Rangatiratanga whilst they have been learning a new waiata and singing it with pride and confidence. They have been leading our whānau group with their singing which has had a really positive impact on our mornings.
Ashwath: For being an amazing tuakana supporting younger tamariki in Maths and at other times. You showed patience and care helping them to understand what was expected, answering their questions as well as modelling what to do.
Kalla: Each day this wonderful tamaiti embodies kaitiakitanga. You are so helpful and will do anything to help out kaiako and your peers. You keep the day running smoothly without realising it! Congratulations e koe.
Anish: This tamaiti is a role model. He always makes sure our space is spotless, even cutting into his own time to organise our books and shoes. Your efforts are so appreciated and you are amazing! Ka rawe e koe!
Laken: We have noticed a big increase in your confidence in the last couple of weeks! We have loved seeing more of your personality shine. You help make our space a fun place to be. Ka rawe, Laken!
Keyan, Toviyah & Hana: You three have consistently looked for ways to fill others buckets. We are impressed by how you notice those who need a hand, a smile or a hug and you include them in activities. Thank you for helping Te Rito to be a wonderful place.
Maria: You have been working hard in literacy to show what you know and to practice what we are learning. It is great to hear all your positive comments about how you love learning to read and write. Ka rawe!
Zorig: You have made a great start to learning in Year 1. We love to see you being a mat master in Maths, and choosing good activities to help you with your number learning. Ka pai!
Ella R: We wanted to tell you how impressed we were with how you handled a heated conversation. You explained your thoughts beautifully, but more importantly, you made sure that everyone felt heard and respected. Because of your calm words, you turned a conflict into a peaceful conversation and made sure both of your friends felt okay again. Ka Pai!
Mira & Liliana: You two have been really good learning buddies during math. I love how you both work together to practise your math questions. Ka Pai for the awesome teamwork.
Nilan: We love how you make the effort to practise your math fact all by yourself, ka pai for making the effort to take charge of your own learning.
Hari: It has been wonderful to see you working really hard in writing time. You are thinking of your own sentence and are sounding out your words. Keep up the great work.
Benji, Booth, Daniel, James, Aiden: For doing an awesome job of being librarians, even when it is not your day! You have done a really good job of role modelling how to behave in the library and being kaitiaki of the space.
