Our Year 4 to 6 tamariki had a fantastic day at senior athletics which was held at school on our field and courts this year. It was a beautiful day for students to show off their skills!
Learners took part in five events; vortex, quoits, long and high jump and sprints. Sprints were very competitive again this year. But ākonga really gave it their all in all events! When the rotations finished, 800m races concluded our day's events. There were some tired legs coming around the final bend for the last time but they all did extremely well crossing the finish line.
Top qualifiers have been invited to the next set of competitions ‘Northern Zones’. This will be held at Newtown Park on Monday 2 November, this is a quick turn-around so Brydon will be in touch soon.
