By: Rupert Webb | Posted Thursday June 5, 2025

Our ākonga are looking forward to their trip to Wellington Museum and Matiu Somes Island. Thank you very much to those parents / whānau who have volunteered to help on each day. We couldn't have done it without you.

Below are details on when ākonga need to arrive at school and what they need to bring with them.

Fingers crossed for the weather!

When to arrive at school

  • Ākonga must arrive by 8:40am at the latest for their roll and safety briefing.

  • Meet in the Hall. Do not go to the hub. `

  • Bus leaves promptly at 9am.

What to bring

  • School uniform

  • Warm layers

  • Raincoat (waterproof with hood)

  • Beanie

  • Comfortable and suitable shoes for walking and light rain

  • Full lunchbox, snacks, water bottle

  • Medication (give to teacher on arrival)

  • Backpack / school bag

Ākonga should come to school prepared to go on their trip. We will go if light drizzle is forecast.

Please note: if we need to cancel a trip due to bad weather, there is no option for students to go on this trip at another time. Ākonga on other days will go on their trip if the weather is suitable. We have explained this to your children.
