Year after year, The Breeze Wellington works alongside the Wellington City Mission to spread the Christmas Cheer, donating gifts and non-perishable food items throughout the region. This year is the 33rd year of the campaign in Wellington! Starting here locally, it has now become a full-fledged nationwide initiative. In 2025, they had a RECORD-BREAKING 600 crates worth of toy and food donations, and they aim to beat that number once again.
How it works
The donation bus travels around Wellington picking up donations of food and gifts, which are then distributed to those families in need over the Christmas period. On Friday 27th November the bus will be arriving at Amesbury School to pick up all of the donations made by the ākonga and whānau of Amesbury School.
Please bring your items into school from November 3rd onwards. They can be placed into the boxes in reception.
