Share & Celebrate Term 3 Week 9/10

By: Jenny King | Posted Thursday September 18, 2025

We are excited to celebrate all the wonderful things our students are doing, both in and outside of school, at Share & Celebrate. We're looking for great examples of how they live out our Amesbury High Five values—whether it's through kindness, hard work, success in sports or hobbies, or caring for our environment.

If your child has an out-of-school achievement you'd like to share, please email the details to their whānau teacher. We would love to know about it and celebrate the achievements!

Leo Brixton: Leo it has been amazing seeing you step out of your comfort zone in our math workshops, sharing your ideas and thoughts confidently. Keep up the great mahi!

Toviyah: You have been a role model in the classroom. You often make good learning choices and listen diligently to your teachers, giving your best effort in all your work. Beyond your learning, you are a kind and compassionate friend. You are always happy to include others in your play and are quick to offer help to a friend in need. Ka pai for your mahi, Toviyah.

Penji: We would like to acknowledge Penji’s dedication and kindness. Penji has been working incredibly hard on his learning, diligently practicing his letter sounds and handwriting. We've also noticed him being an excellent role model for his friends who are new to school, showing them kindness and helping them find their way. Ka pai for your mahi, Penji.

Aarush: During lunchtime, Aarush was in the library when he noticed a younger akonga who was upset outside. Aarush didn't hesitate to step in. He went out to check on the akonga, asking if he needed help, and even went a step further by letting the akonga know he was welcome to join him in the library if he needed some company. You were being a helpful and compassionate tuakana, ka pai.

Eriola, Hana and Reid: During literacy time, these students made an effort to consistently find good learning buddies throughout the session. They supported each other to show excellent mat manners, and persevere with their follow up learning tasks. Ka pai!

Zeyaan: Throughout the term Zeyaan has taken on new challenges and shown great courage. We are proud of him for reaching the speech finals. Congratulations for also showing dedication in your learning by moving to a quiet spot in order to avoid distractions from others. Impressive!

Lydia: After spelling is fun, Lydia took the initiative to collect all the spelling puka puka (books). Making sure they were all returned neatly to the correct location. Ka rawe Lydia.
