Cross Country 2025

The weather held out for us on Tuesday, and although it wasn’t too chilly to start with, we were very thankful the rain stayed away! Our amazing ākonga (students) showed plenty of determination and perseverance as they tackled the cross country course. It was fantastic to see so many choosing to take part — whether they were sprinting toward the finish line or simply enjoying a run alongside friends. Supporters dotted around the track added to the great atmosphere and kept the encouragement flowing throughout the day.

We commend all participants and celebrate those who achieved personal goals. Congratulations to the top 5 finishers in each race who will go on to represent Amesbury School at the next level. The race results can be viewed here

Y4-6 girls and boys will travel to Grenada North Park on Tuesday 13th May (PP date 15th) to compete in the Northern Zone event against the other kura in our area.

Y1-3 will take part in the Junior Invitational held at Amesbury on 20th May (PP 27th). We look forward to hosting the young athletes from 14 other schools on the day. If you would like to volunteer as a course marshal on this day please reach out.

Our best wishes to all the tamariki who will represent their whānau and our kura later this month - Kia kaha to you all!
