Share & Celebrate Term 2 Week 7

By: Jenny King | Posted Thursday June 4, 2026

A highlight of our week is pausing to celebrate the mahi, leadership, and kindness that fills our kura. Whether it's in the hub or out in the playground, Share & Celebrate gives us an opportunity to acknowledge some of the great things that are happening.

Our students are achieving awesome things outside of school too. If your child has a success to celebrate, please email the details to their whānau teacher so we can give them a shout-out.

We also want to say a big thank you to Aleesha and Gar Kee's buddy whānau group for being fantastic hosts of this week’s session.

Ka rawe to all the ākonga recognized this week—we are incredibly proud of you!

Rufus and Mei Mei: Rufus and Mei Mei raised over $2,000 for the Cancer Society a few weeks ago! They held a bake sale and lemonade stall, and Ground Up Homes also joined them with a fundraising sausage sizzle. Along with an online donation portal set up for our school, they raised so much money for a really worthy cause. Ka pai, amazing work!

Wee Ai: Saanvi and her mum would like to give a shout out to Wee Ai, because she is a great whānau teacher. She is kind and supportive, and always listens with understanding. Thank you, Wee Ai!

Hayden L: Hayden, It’s been great seeing your perseverance with your literacy tasks while your Chromebook wasn’t working. You took the initiative to work with different people and continued to stay engaged in your learning. Awesome resilience and effort!

Anish and Ryan J: One wet play day, even though you did not make the mess you took your own time to clean it up without being asked. Keep up this awesome mahi!

Adam M and John: Several teachers have noticed that you have both been an amazing friend to many people in the hub. Well done boys!

Siena, Ariana, Aimee, and Bailey: Thank you for volunteering to help out in the hub when I found several collapsed shelves in the cupboard. I was really impressed that you gave up your playtime to help, you got on with it quickly and efficiently and helped to solve the problem. Thank you for taking care of our hub and resources. Ka pai!
