Share & Celebrate Term 2 Week 4

By: Jenny King | Posted Thursday May 14, 2026

One of the best parts of our week is pausing to recognize the mahi, leadership, and kindness our students bring to our kura. Whether it’s on the sports field or in the classroom, Share & Celebrate is our time to acknowledge the hard work happening every day.

We know our students are achieving incredible things outside of school, too! If your child has had a recent success that deserves a shout-out, please email the details to their whānau teacher so we can include them in our celebrations.

A huge thank you to Sarah and Sophia's buddy whānau group for doing a fantastic job hosting this week’s session!

Well done to all the ākonga recognized this week—we are proud of you!

Tinilau, Blake and Adam: Shout out to Tinilau, Blake and Adam for helping by putting the bike in the shed and making sure it was standing up. They also took the initiative to help the younger teina to carry their bikes into the bike shed. Ka Pai for looking out for our gear and each other.

Aiden and Saanvi: During PE, Saanvi and Aiden showed great sportsmanship by cheering for their teammates and assisting anyone they saw who needed a hand. You both made the game so much more positive for the whole team. Ka pai!

Mikah: Mikah, you’ve spent the entire term following through on your goal of staying organized, I am so proud to see you constantly reminding yourself and making the effort to look after your belongings. I love that you’re determined to keep it up for next term, too. Ka Pai for your mahi!

Yool: You’ve been working so hard on your writing! You have been working hard at using your sound knowledge to spell tricky words, and it’s amazing that you went the extra mile to create your own book during the school holiday. Ka pai for your effort and creativity.

Mira, Harper, Milan, Eriola, Leo and Liliana: Ka pai to you all for the awesome effort you've been putting into math. I love how you all are always staying on task and working hard during math workshops to tackle tricky questions. You’re showing great focus—keep up the mahi.

Divith: Last week, we were reviewing Newton’s 2nd Law as we had some new ākonga in our rōpū. You explained clearly that a force is needed to make an object move and that it affects how fast it goes. Thank you for sharing your ideas so confidently.

Kaia: We have noticed that you have been an amazing tidy teddy recently. You have done a great job picking up pencils, pens and other small things and putting them away. Ka pai Kaia!

Lubanzi: You have been working so hard on your writing pieces and making sure you are spelling words with the sounds you hear. Keep up the great work!

Emmy, Mei Mei and Oscar: In inquiry, you have been working really hard to create a project for your learning celebration. At first, it was tricky to come up with an idea that everyone agreed on. But once you chose one, you worked together in a positive way and put in a lot of effort to create your best project.
